Your Kitten’s First Wellness Exam in McKinney
Kittens are busy busy creatures-eating, napping, purring, and playing! In between kitten kisses and those zoomies around the living room, we know you are eagerly trying to find the answers to all the questions! Which health insurance should I choose? Am I feeding them the right food? Are these kitty toys safe? At Perky Paws Pet Hospital, we understand how confusing all of this information can be and we are here to help!
Your kitten’s first visit in McKinney will include
- An introduction to our hospital with a Perky Paws Vet Technician
- A thorough physical examination with a Perky Paws Veterinarian
- A safe and thorough vaccination schedule based on your kitten’s medical history and age
- A fecal test to check for the presence of intestinal parasites
- Guidance on a diet plan for your new kitten if needed/requested
- Guidance on socialization training if needed/requested
- Education on heartworm prevention
- Education on flea and tick prevention
- Dental hygiene education
- Significant time with your Perky Paws Veterinarian to make sure all of your questions and concerns are answered
When visiting with your new kitten for the first time, please bring the following with you:
- Any prior health information the breeder, shelter or previous owner provided you with such as vaccination history, worming schedule, and neutering
- A stool sample that is no more than two hours old
Your new family member will receive a Perky Paws Kitten Kit! This kitten kit is loaded with information and goodies from your team at Perky Paws including a complimentary dose of heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
